For La Tanya Wynne, diversity and Catholic values were the driving force behind the decision to send her two children to Roncalli Catholic High School.
“My heart smiles knowing my son is happy, safe and respected at Roncalli Catholic," La Tonya said of her son JaKoby Devereaux.
JaKoby is thriving at Roncalli Catholic. Whether it is through competition in sports or in his involvement in the Benilde Program, La Tanya said she can always hear the excitement in her son’s voice when he talks about his day.
She added that these opportunities are possible for her children thanks to the tuition assistance programs available at Roncalli Catholic. Because of these donor-funded efforts, La Tanya said her child’s path to success is clear.
"We are so proud to be part of the Roncalli Catholic family," she said.

Logan Chambers’ first opportunity to experience Roncalli Catholic’s welcoming community came on the football field.
As a seventh-grade student participating in the Jr. Pride football program, Logan was introduced to upperclassmen and coaches who ultimately became his role models.
“I learned how to serve as a strong example for the kids who are younger than me," Logan said. "I strive to be a good role model for others in the school."
Now, Logan is doing just that as a junior at Roncalli Catholic. As a leader on Roncalli Catholic’s varsity football team, he has the opportunity to serve as a leader for the next generation of Roncalli Catholic students.
“I don’t think I would have had these opportunities at any other school," he said.
