Roncalli Catholic/Notre Dame Academy/Rummel Athletic Hall of Fame

Our Mission

  • The Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor former student-athletes, coaches, teams, administrators, and significant contributors who have brought honor and distinction to the school either through their athletic excellence, coaching accomplishments, or their dedication to athletics in the school community. 

Qualifications

  • Nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame can be an individual athlete, coach, team, administrator or significant contributor to the Notre Dame Academy, Rummel, and/or Roncalli Catholic Athletic Programs.
  • Athletes and teams must have been out of high school a minimum of 7 years. No time frame on coaches, administrators or contributors. 

Athletic Hall of Fame – Class of 2026

We are proud to announce the outstanding inductees for the Class of 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame! These individuals have left a lasting legacy through their dedication, talent, and impact on our athletic community.

Join us in celebrating their achievements both on and off the field on Nov. 20, 2026 at Roncalli Catholic High School. Their hard work and passion continue to inspire future generations of athletes.

Class of 2026 Inductees:

• Tim Burke ’77 (Male Athlete) – Phenomenal All-State pitcher and basketball player for the Crimson Pride who went on to become an MLB All-Star with the Montreal Expos.

• Matt Bowers ’04 (Male Athlete) – All-State football, All-State baseball, and basketball player; led the 2003 football team to a state runner-up. 

• Kristine (Mullen) Nichols (Female Athlete) – Gold Medalist in the 800 meters 3 years in a row including All-Class Gold 2 times.

• 2018 State Championship Baseball Team – Delivered one of the greatest moments in Roncalli Catholic history: down one, bases loaded, full count—Logan McGill’s hit brings home two runs for a walk-off state title.

• The Late Dallas Dyer (Coach) – Legendary Rummel coach who led the 1973 football team to a Metro Championship.

• Brent Hodgen ’89 (Contributor) – A dedicated supporter whose efforts over the past decade have helped make the Booster Club the best around.

• Pat Belling ’99 (Male Athlete) – Dominated on the track, winning 5 gold medals throughout his high school career and earning All-Class Gold in the 200m.

Induction Ceremony

  • The 2024 inductees were enshrined into the Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony  at Roncalli Catholic High School on Nov. 22, 2024. Their names are displayed on the Athletic Hall of Fame wall. 

  • The 2025 inductees were enshrined into the Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony  at Roncalli Catholic High School on Nov. 21, 2025. Their names are displayed on the Athletic Hall of Fame wall.
