Archdiocese High School Assistance

Your FACTS assessment will also be used to determine your family’s eligibility for Archdiocese High School Tuition Assistance, so only one application is necessary. To qualify for Roncalli Catholic and Archdiocesan assistance, your application and documentation must be submitted and verified by FACTS no later than March 15th. Be sure to file your tax return as early as possible.

Any concerns about this deadline can be directed to Roncalli Catholic’s Business Office.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS

These scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen based upon scores on the Eighth Grade Placement Exam given at Roncalli Catholic. This exam is given on a scheduled Saturday morning in January each year. The student must take the exam on that Saturday to be eligible to receive an academic scholarship. These scholarships are awarded in various amounts divided over a student’s four years at Roncalli Catholic. The scholarship is not transferable.

“PRIDE LEADER” SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS

“Pride Leader” Scholarships are available each year for incoming freshmen only. These scholarships are awarded based upon the leadership qualities the individual has shown and developed in combination with the applicant’s score achieved on the Roncalli Catholic Placement Exam.

All students who test at Roncalli Catholic High School are encouraged to apply. “Pride Leader” Scholarships are awarded to those students who have the highest test scores and highest leadership evaluations.
To be eligible for a “Pride Leader” Scholarship, the student must take the Eighth Grade Placement Exam at Roncalli Catholic High School on the primary testing day. “Pride Leader” Scholarships are one-year, nonrenewable scholarships at a value of $1,000.00.
After taking the Placement Exam, students may apply for a “Pride Leader” Scholarship by first filling out the application form. Then, students must send evaluation forms to three adults who are to evaluate the student’s personal leadership qualities. These adults may be teachers, coaches, school administrators, pastors, youth leaders, employers, etc. A least one of these evaluations must come from a current teacher or administrator. However, these adults are not to be related to the applicant.

STUDENT WORK PROGRAM

The Building Pride Student Work Program grants may be a part of need-based tuition payment plans. The terms will be arranged in conjunction with the family’s customized tuition payment plan. Work schedules can be flexible to accommodate co-curricular activities and other commitments. Summer hours are available as well. Financial Aid Application Process

To help provide convenience and clarity to our tuition customization process, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting our financial need analysis for the 2021-2022 school year. This is the same online assessment used by all Omaha-area Catholic high schools and by many elementary schools in our Archdiocese.

How it Works

Online Application

Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an on-line application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Applicants will apply online for a fee of $40.

Documentation

Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:

Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
Copies of your W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.

All supporting documentation can be uploaded in PDF format online. It is the best practice to upload the entire tax return. If you need additional assistance, the Business Office can help in uploading your tax documents.

Once we have evaluated your application results from FACTS, we will contact you with a tuition plan, and schedule an appointment with new families.
