Roncalli Catholic High School will host its largest fundraising event, Festa del Leone, on April 14, 2012.  The signature dinner and auction raises important tuition monies for the  340+ young men and women of Roncalli Catholic.  

The cost is $125 per person.  Patron table sponsorships, as well as underwriting and advertising opportunities are available and welcomed. 

The evening will include silent and live auctions, a lottery drawing, special giveaways and the presentation of the Pope John XXIII Award. For the 23^rd Annual Festa del Leone, Roncalli Catholic is pleased to honor Archbishop George Lucas with the Pope John XXIII award.

The Most Reverend George J. Lucas was named Archbishop of Omaha on June 3, 2009, and was installed on July 22, 2009.  Prior to joining the Omaha Archdiocese, he served for nearly 10 years in the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois, where he was ordained a bishop on December 14, 1999.

Committees are currently gathering donations for auctions, constructing the decorations for the evening and preparing invitations and other printed materials.  The Event Chairs for Festa 2012 are Bill and Judi Larson; Leonard (Rummel 1972) and Kate Sommer will serve as Honorary Chairs.   Volunteers are still needed for this important Roncalli Catholic fundraising event.
