2007 Alumni Sand Volleyball Tournament raises $2000!

(Over 100 alums participated)

CONGRATULATIONS to this year's Champions:  TEAM HEIDI (GEIER) WOODARD '95!

Other team members included:  Ryan Reitsma, Lisa Barcel, Nick Barcel, Sadie Burr & Justin Burr.

The Third Annual Alumni Sand Volleyball Tournament was held on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 @ O'Leavers.

Eighteen teams participated in this year's tournament which raised approximately $2000 for the the Alumni Scholarship Fund adding to funds raised from the Alumni Basketball Tournament, All School Alumni Social and three sessions of the Roncalli Basketball League.  Through the combination of these events, nearly $10,000 through out this calendar year has been raised to help students attend Roncalli Catholic High School.

Thanks goes to this year's Chairs, TJ Orr '96 and Shelley (Abate) Weeks '93 for putting on another successful tournament that is already scheduled for next year...

Saturday, May 31st, 2008.  Mark your calendar!

Additional thanks goes to Jerry Ramm '79 for helping setup Saturday morning and to Chris Mello '93, owner of O'Leavers, for his hospitality during this alumni event.

Teams from 1985 to 2004 participated in this year's Pool Play and Single Elimination Tournament.  Making the final four this year were Team Bob Haniszewski '94, Team Micki Dunn '02, Team (Gargano) Snow '98, and Team Heidi (Geier) Woodard '95.

Team Heidi (Geier) Woodard '95 defeated Team Micki Dunn '02 in the finals to claim this year's trophy.

2006 Alumni Sand Volleyball Tournament

This year's Second Alumni Sand Volleyball Tournament was held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2006

$3000 (a new record) was raised through alumni participation to further fund the Alumni Scholarship Fund!

Over 250 alumni and friends of Roncalli Catholic (a new record) participated in this year's tournament which included 28 teams (also a new record).  Following the tournament, participants enjoyed live music by the Pat O' Show.  A special thanks goes to members of the Alumni Board for assisting with this event and making it a success.

Congratulations to alums who made the final four.  They included Shelley Abate Weeks ('93), Christine Nielsen Doremus ('93), Joanna Abate ('98), Natalie Kotrc ('96), Josh Stratman ('99), Deana Christiansen Morehouse ('95), Heidi Geier Woodard ('95), Nikki Gargano ('98), Gabe Gargano ('94), Angie Gargano ('97), Tony Gargano ('04), and Christa Herber ('04).  

AND "THANKS" TO ALL WHO MADE IT A GREAT DAY TO CELEBRATE THE CRIMSON PRIDE FAMILY...ROLL PRIDE!
