Dear Friends of Roncalli Catholic:

As we begin Advent and near the end of the calendar year, we reflect on our many accomplishments in 2011.  Roncalli Catholic saw tremendous growth, improvements in the facilities and some very impressive student achievements.

I am proud to share a few of these exciting accomplishments:

  •  With 340+ students, our enrollment has reached its highest level in more than a decade.
  • We welcomed a great number of families showing an interest in joining our Class of 2016 at our recent Open House.

  • Our parking lot was completely renovated, including landscaping, sidewalks and visitor parking.

  • An electronic message board now greets us, passers-by and visitors coming to our school.

  • We have just about completed a 4,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose Activity Center through the combination and renovation of four, former classrooms.

  • The installation of our new, competition grade track is now complete and rounds out our extensive Rummel Stadium project.  The track will be striped this spring and ready for practice and on-campus meets.

  • Our stadium press box was completed in time for this fall’s football games.

  • Several classrooms were upgraded with new lighting, paint, carpet and technology.

  • Our Varsity football team finished an outstanding season with a first-ever home play-off win.  More than 1,000 spectators packed our Rummel Stadium bleachers for a great night of football.

  • One of our seniors recently accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

  • Thanks to many generous donations and fiscal prudence, we finished the year in sound financial position.  The first four months of our 2011-2012 budget cycle show continued financial strength due to growing enrollment and tuition income, ongoing donations and successful fundraising activities.

All in all, 2011 was a great success for our school. Roncalli Catholic High School is an exceptional place for our students to grow in wisdom, courage and faith. Our Catholic traditions, academic structure, diverse student body and extra-curricular activities are second to none; I am proud of our many accomplishments and excited about our bright future.

God bless,
